A Tribute to Maggie
Today was much like any other day. Life goes
on and we are all busy but let not this day pass without pausing
and saying a little prayer for Maggie. Maggie was born somewhere
in Missouri and probably in a puppy mill. She ended up in the
panhandle of Florida where she was turned in to Gulf South Golden
Retriever Rescue. When Maggie came to us her neck and glands
were swollen. I took her to the vet and he ran some tests and
sent them off. The results came back that Maggie had cancer
and had only 4 to 6 weeks to live. I made up my mind she could
stay at our house until the time came when she should go to
the Rainbow Bridge. Well her condition was deteriorating and
I had promised myself not to let her suffer. When I said good-bye
to Maggie this morning I told her I would see her on the other
side and her suffering was over. Maggie is playing at the bridge
right now and her suffering has ended. Do pause and say a prayer
for Maggie and don’t let her passing go unnoticed.
