Hayden is a lovable pup in a senior body.  He prances around wanting to be a part of our activities.  He loves to retrieve.  His extra 15 pounds has reduced his stamina, but not his good nature!  Hayden has already lost 5 pounds on weight reduction food and daily walks, so we expect him to be svelte and fit in a very short time!

Hayden is very good with children.  He does not jump on people, and snuggles close when a hand comes out to pet him.  He does not play much with other dogs, but isn’t aggressive with them unless they come close to his toys or bones.  However, he shows no aggression towards us when we take things from him.

Hayden walks easily on a leash and has not shown signs of destructive or inappropriate behavior in our home.  We have left him uncrated in our home since the third or fourth day he was here with no problems.  He is completely housetrained.

Hayden has the beginnings of arthritis, but this doesn’t affect his ability to move.  He has been started on joint supplements.  If you are looking for a low energy dog with lots of life and no behavior problems, Hayden may be the one for you.
