Anna Anna When I adopted you in March of 2003, I did not know that I would learn so many of life’s lessons from you. You taught me patience, unselfishness, and unconditional love. I never knew that angels appeared with four legs, fur, and white faces. You gave me so much in the short time that I had the honor of caring for you. You never complained and that smile was always present – even in your final moments. Everyone who met you just adored “sweet Miss Anna.” You always seemed to take things as they came and dealt with life’s problems uncomplainingly. When you lost your sight, you just slowed down a little and kept on going. Even when you were leaving, you wanted not to make a fuss – just went to sleep so that I wouldn’t suffer. I have loved you from the minute you came out of Jim’s car and I will keep your memory with me. You will always be my sweet girl. “If love could have saved you, you would be here forever.” I’ll see you again. Your loving Mom, Hi Jim, Anna is wonderful. Even though she has lost her sight,
she still goes for walks and gets around the house really well. She
is a joy and I really
don't remember how it was before she came to me. |
