Casey aka "Lughead" ??/1997 to 7/29/2009 casey first in the chow line rusty and casey- friends from the start Casey our first rescue dog which we adopted went to the bridge peacefully last night. It seems like only yesterday Carol brought home this skinny, flea infested, full of heartworms and every other kind of parasite imaginable. He did not have much of a coat from bad nutrition but was a real friendly guy. After getting through the heartworm treatment and eating good food he evolved into one of the friendliest fun loving goldens I have ever been around. There has never a more docile furkid that I have ever been around but at the same time was full of energy and loved every part of life. To all of you who knew him he was my “Lug Head”. I could go on for hours and tell you about all of things which he has done but the classic was when we had all our dogs in the car to evacuate for Hurricane Katrina and he locked the doors of the car with all the dogs locked in the car with him and the motor running and the hurricane bearing down on us. Casey you are home at the bridge now and the pain and suffering is gone and I promise to see you soon. Dad
