My Tribute to Sarah

Sarah, I love and miss you dearly. I think of you every day and remember how your comforted me when I came home after a bad day at work. Sitting on the floor brushing you sure made me feel better and I hope you liked it as much as I did. You came into my life at just the right moment and I will never forget the love you gave me from the very first day we met. As you put you head on my shoulder as we drove home together I knew you were mine and I pledged to make the remaining time you had on this earth the happiest possible. What I did not know at the time is that your plans seem to be to do the same for me. I loved when you sat on the sofa with me and put your head on my lap and looked up at me with those big brown eyes. I remember the day I brought Paige home from the hospital. She, even though she was just a puppy, had a bad start in life, but you helped me bring her into the family and welcome her with open arms and paws. I was so proud of you. I am not sure I would have never made it after Katrina had you not been there to give me the love I needed every day. Boy did I cry the day you left us, and still do at times when I think about you. I want you to know I miss you and think of you every day. I want you to know I did not let Paige stay alone for long after you left us. I know from the way you reacted when I brought her home that you through Goldens should be in pairs. Well I complied with your wishes and now Paige has a little brother named Bubba. He plays with her like she played with you. You would be so proud of her; she is just as you were when I brought her home.
Sarah, I love and miss you so much but I promise I will take care of your sister and little brother and do everything I can to make them happy for the rest of their lives.
