Blitz

Blitz is now in his forever home in New Jersey on August 24th, 2007 with Toby (2006 GS adoption) and Buffy. Last I heard he was watching the duck pond with his new brother and sister and barking. Blitz was an early birthday present for his new daddy. Can you imagine that big lug walking up to you in a birthday party hat, a giant bow around his neck and a sign telling you Happy Birthday?? I don’t think there could be anything much better.

Hut, hut, my name is Blitz and you better watch out ‘cause I am going to steal your heart. Just like in football when there is a sudden charge upon the quarterback by the linebackers or defensive backs when the ball is snapped (blitz/red-dog). I am going to snap up your heart!!

I am a big, red, eight year old boy, weighing in around 100 pounds, but I am nothing more than a big teddy bear. I am a “gentle giant”; very affectionate, obedient, get along great with other dogs. I am feeling so good that I am playing with toys and chasing a ball now that Gulf South has me all healthy again. I absolutely love tug-o-war; can you guess who wins?? I like kids a lot and boy can I give kisses.
Do you like to walk?? Well I do!! If you just get close to the leash, I am ready to go and I’ll hold it while you hook me up.

Unfortunately my previous owners didn’t take very good care of me so I am heartworm positive, but GS said not to worry about that. With the slow treatment, I’ll be negative in just a few years. I’ve also had an injury to my eye but I am still able to see and I don’t miss a thing, just ask my foster family! I was also shaved and am so anxious for my new coat to grow in. Can you imagine how absolutely beautiful I am going to be?

So if you are looking for an affectionate companion you’ve found your man!
