Callie
Callie went to her forever home in Slidell LA on January 21, 2007. She will be living with a family with two boys. Jan 2008--Hi there, I just got on to download all the pics we took & noticed your email/wish to Callie. Thank you so much for remembering. Here are some pics of her day yesterday. She got a YUMMY chew, a cat pull toy, and a "squirrel" She got an EXTRA long walk & a car ride as well as lots & lots of SUGAR from all of us. She was terrified of the camera & the "fire" on the candle! BUT enjoyed her piece of cake!! When we go on our daily walks, she waits by a certain tree for the squirrels. They sit there & taunt her & she of course refuses to budge! So, we got her a squirrel of her own. When she 1st got it, she grabbed it & tried to chomp it's head off! Then she started licking it all over! Anyway, here are her pics. Sangeeta Update from her new momma:
Hi Judy, Hi Kathy, I can't believe it's almost a week since we got her. It seems like she's been w/us forever now. She's such a GOOD dog! I can't believe how lucky we are to have her. She been going on walks everyday-I'm finally walking & getting exercise too! She's eating well & doing just fine. She sleeps in the kids' room on the floor. She starts off on Sammy's bed but ends up on the floor btween the 2 beds. I guess the single bed does not give her enough room! She has her special spot on the sofa in the den (we've got a blankie for her & she knows that's where she lies down). I get up at 5 & am puttering d/stairs in the kitchen & like clockwork she lumbers down around 6am. She fooled me this morning tho'. She did not get down till 7:30! She played w/the tennis ball w/Sammy & Vinny, prancing around & chasing the ball. Too Cute! We took her to the vet Thu. pm. Vet said that she was ok-no worms etc. Except that she's a little "plump." He also sd that he does not recommend rawhide bcos they tend to stick in the stomach & intestines but to give her only "chewies" that are crunchie & that will be chewed into tiny bits & can be easily digested. We also got her hrtworm preventative & will administer that & flea med on the the 29th! Today, we thought it would be a good idea to leave her in the garage (which has air & heat - used to be the kids' playroom until Katrina!) while we went to church (3:45-5pm). When we got home, she was frantic! She was so happy to see us! She greeted each of us! In the time we were gone, she had stuck her head thru the cat door & pulled the runner thru the cat door. How she accomplished this is beyond me! She's lying down right here behind me as I write this. I just have one question re: hrtworm meds. Does she take it like a good girl or does she spit it out? Thanx. Will send more pics when she's playing outside w/the ball. Hope y'all are doing well. Sangeeta |
