Candy

Candy went to her forever home in Austin Texas in late December 2006.

Candy's new mom and dad drove to LA from Texas to meet her and bring her home. She is living with a fellow golden rescuer who helped transport the Operation Harvest of Gold doggies from Texas to Arizona. He is a hero to our clan. Thanks to Greg and his family for giving Candy her forever home.

Update in January 2007:

Jim and Carol..and let's not leave Lee out of this either !!....you guys fooled us, you said we have a 12yr old golden named Candy... We want to bring her back to Bourg and swap her in for a real senior golden !!!!!!!!...(( may change her name to Annie..)

She's hot stuff, Carrie has gotten her to run and fetch the tennis ball...at first she just looked at the ball, now she picks it up and brings it back !!!!!....a few days ago she laid down on a pile leaves and rolled over and started twisting back and forth !!!!....She's been really good telling us when she needs to go outside....(no mistakes in the house)

When we are ready to go out for walks who's the first one at the door !!!!...who's the dog leading our pack!!!! Are you sure you gave us the right golden???..............She is hot stuff, Annie is now getting her vitamins and eating really good, loves that no fat yogart mixed in with her food,
Ahhhhhh...I guess we'll keep her,
Greg and Carrie our crew (Samantha, Pippi, and Annie)

Candy is a 12 year old wonderful old gal. She wandered up to her rescuer’s house hungry and in the need of loving. She gave her some food and she just hung around. The rescuer called us and we took her into our program. She is one sweet girl. She is completely housebroken and gets along well with all the other dogs. She is up to date on all her shots and HW negative. If a comfortable old gal that will show you nothing but love is what you are looking for Candy is your gal.
