Cricket-adopted to a family in New Orleans in September 2008

Update in December 2008--Cricket and her new human came over for dinner last night. They are doing great. Cricket has gotten big! She is about 10 mths now and still all puppy. Although she doesn't chew everything up, everything ends up in her mouth. She and Stormy had plenty of fun playing throughout the evening. David just loves her.

update on sept 20, 2008:

Cricket had a "Puppy Shower" today. The people at her new "Dad's" job have thrown him a puppy shower luncheon. The shower was at a dog friendly pub so that Cricket could attend. She had a great time. She seemed to know the gifts were for her. She stared as David opened each gift...her little nose was just flickering trying to catch a whiff of what was in the bags. She received plenty of new toys and treats. She seemed to have a great time.

Meet Cricket. This is a sweet 6 month old puppy. She is a joy to have around. As she just turned 6 months, we keep a close eye on her but so far she hasn’t tried to chew anything that didn’t belong to the dogs. She has always been an outdoor dog and has just begun being house trained. She is fair smart so she should learn quickly. She has the sit command down pat. She has not had a very good life thus far so she is eating up the attention and the air-conditioning.

Cricket is very young so getting a good photo of her is difficult. She now has most of her adult teeth. He tail feathers are just starting to come in. She is still a little girl.

Cricket is currently testing negative for heartworms; however, she has always been an outside dog and has not been on heartworm preventatives. She should be retested in about 6 months.
