Ellabelle

Ellabelle was adopted in February 2008 and will be living in FL.

It's official! Ella has been adopted by Douglas of Sarasota,
Florida!

Meeting the wonderful folks who care enough to adopt a rescued Golden
is what makes fostering possible, at least for me. Of course, the joy
of participating in the recovery of an abandoned Golden's life, no
matter the reason, is always heartwarming. And yet, it's knowing that
reciprocity exists in the relationship that you helped "foster" that
makes the experience so meaningful. After all, Love is GIVE and TAKE.
And I have no doubt that Ella will offer her new companion Douglas
endless hours of unconditional love, and likewise, that he will share
his complete devotion and provide her with all the affectionate
attention she deserves and needs!

What's more, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Douglas' father who
rode with him from Sarasota to meet me west of Tallahassee. His lovely
dad assured me that he would have the honor of taking care of Ella when
Doug had to travel, relaying that he lived near his son. The
amount of attention he gave Ella and my own two dogs, Cooper and Bergh,
was all I needed to witness to have a heart full of gratitude the whole
way home. I won't forget the smile on both of their faces upon meeting
Ella...

Have a great weekend!

TAMMY

Name: Ellabelle
Age: 1year
Gender: female
Spay/neuter: yes
UTD: yes
HW status: negative
Date of intake:01/08

This is Ellabelle who is an owner turn in and I am fostering her temporarily until Friday and then she is going to Tammy's house.

She is approximately a year old, 50 pounds, recently spayed, HW- (yes,
negative), no worms, a little under weight, super thick coat and a jumper
upper on everyone. Hasn't been around many dogs but took well to my herd of four. Watty is already teaching her to bark at the trucks on the road, she
has a little bark. (Watty is in LOVE - you'll see from the pictures) She
rode well in the car home from the vet, a little afraid of 18 wheelers
passing but settled right down in the back seat and looked around. As
always anxious to come in the house, smelled around a little and went
directly to the dog bed and is napping right now. Did I mention
affectionate?? yes, very and comes when her name is called. She will also
need work on walking on a leash, basically just all stuff because no one has
worked with her.

She is going to make someone an excellent companion.
