Gabriel went to his forever home near New Orleans on February 3, 2007.

Update from his momma in February 2009:

My husband and I adopted Gabriel from the Rescue almost exactly 2 years ago. We chose him due to his kind nature and beautiful face. Friends call him Liza Minelli (spelling unsure of) because of the dark eyeliner surrounding his eyes. He is a beautiful light colored golden with a perfect white patch on his nose. He is suspected to be about 3 now, so he was just about a year when we adopted him. He came house trained which was a blessing. We treated him for heartworms immediately when we got him. That was not a pleasant process at all. Sort of like chemo for a dog. But about a month later he was all puppy again. His hobbies include digging holes, barking at anything and everything, laying on the porch keeping an eye out for us, walking on the levee, chasing his tail, and hugs. His phobias include bicycles, motorcycles, veterinarians, baths, UPS trucks, and freshening spray.
He is an absolute joy (besides the hair). We look forward to watching him cope with a new baby in the household. We will see!
