Gus (Wonder/Vegas) first came to us and was adopted at the end of 2007.
Due to health problems, his owner was no longer able to care for
him and returned him to GSGRR. Gus is a big (90 lb.)beautiful red
golden. He is house broken and knows basic commands. He walks well
on a leash. Gus is your typical golden-ready to please and wants
to be where ever you are. He has been known to escape from a fenced
in yard possibly due to his mild storm phobia. So leaving him in
a yard unattended would probably not be the best option. During a
storm Gus is slightly anxious but will lie down in an open crate.
He has also escaped from a crate-probably during a thunderstorm.
He has free roam of the house and has done quite well. He does however
like to nose through the trash. He is into paper recycling. He does
not have access to the kitchen trash but would probably get into
that as well. We are working on correcting this behavior. Gus gets
along well with other dogs and all humans. He loves to take toys
and bury them in the couch or chairs-without causing any harm to
either. Gus is a wonderful golden looking for his truly forever home.
If you think you are the right person for this exceptional dog fill
out an application and mention his name.
