Jack

We saw Jack at the Barkus parade and he looks awesome.

Jack went to his forever home in Louisiana on July 17th, 2005.

Update from his mom on March 7th:

Dear Jim,

I just wanted to give you and update on Jack's progress since Bill and I
adopted him last July 17, 2005. He has come along way since the days of full body staff infection. He has a beautiful coat now and is working
with Dr. Merchant at LSU vet school to conquer his allergies. He had a very
bad reaction to our local vets perscription of Atopica, which made his gums
swell, but after four weeks they have returned to normal, though the
"itchies" are back. He will see Dr. Merchant again on Monday for allergy
testing. Jack weathered Katrina well and enjoyed his travels through
three different temporary housings that were offered by family. We are back in our home and he is adjusting well to what he thinks is a new home. He is a super good boy and we are so happy that we found him, and thank you so much for your help. Our old girl, Eden (the bouvier who picked him out) has passed on, but Jack has coped well with his cat Pansy. I think that
adopted animals have a lot of compassion for each other and understand things a lot better than puppies that grow up in own family. It is amazing to see them learn from eachother, even the dog learning from the cat.

Well I just wanted to let you know that Jack is well and thriving and who
knows we may be looking for a girlfriend (fixed of course) for him in the
future.

Please send our regards to your wife. We wish you well and thanks again
for all the good work you are doing.

Kindest regards,

Meredith
