Jake 2 in LA

Updates in Feb 2012:

Alicia,

Jake adopted me in May 2008. Jake was foster by Jennifer, Brad and Debbie. We have remained close friends and I read all of the updates regarding all of the Goldens and also share information.
My life  has been truly blessed since Jake came into my life. Jake and I moved to Houston 2 yrs ago, due to an job transfer. Jake is the love of my life and has brought joy to me and the clients i work with. Jake has not met a person he did not like, however still not too crazy about other dogs. I cant say enough about Jennifer, Brad, and Debbie and the great work that they did with my boy. Judy was also amazing answering questions when I first got Jake. Jake has maintained his weight at 82 lbs and loves  car rides. He has been heartworm free for the past 3 years.
I thank you for the love of my life and the great work that you do!

update on May 18, 2008:

Jake has been with his new family for one year and they are all still in love!!

Judy,
We are having such a great time. I spoke with Jim today and he was a great help as you were. My boy and I went to PETCO with a friend of mine and i sort of went crazy in the store. I did buy the crate you spoke of and used it earlier this evening for an hour. I did feel guilty at first, but I place JAKE in the crate and yes he was OK. I spent a small fortune, but my boy is worth every penny. I am going to take him to work with me in the am, to see where I work.

My name is Jake and I am 9 years old. My human mother who had had me all my life unfortunately died last May and I have been living in the backyard all by myself. I only got fed occasionally and did not receive the attention that I was so use to or deserved.

I have been neutered and I am up to date on all my shots. I am heartworm positive but my foster parents have started me on preventative. As you can see from the picture I love to play in the mud and am learning how to be an inside dog. I am in good shape for an elder statesman and will love you forever.
