Lea- went to her forever home in Tallahassee FL on September 13, 2008.
NAME: LEA Lea’s background will forever remain a mystery, but her future is bright due to her wonderful personality and impeccable manners. She sits on command, and has NEVER jumped on any person. Lea is completely house trained. She has only chewed on bones and dog toys. She follows us from room to room and then looks for the softest place in each room to settle down. She growls to protect her bone from another dog, but instantly drops it when we take it away. She does not dart through an open door, though she will start to follow when we leave. Lea gets very excited on walks. She doesn’t pull hard against her leash, but she walks erratically and needs loose leash training. Within a few minutes of being in the house, Lea jumped on the couch. After several tries to return, she gave up and confiscated the softest spot on the floor. The only time she has tried again was during a thunderstorm. At that point she seemed frightened, so we allowed her to stay until the thunder and rain stopped. Then she got down and acted as if nothing had happened. Lea LOVES water and tries to get into any body of water. She also follows the water hose, trying to catch the spray. She likes to catch balls, but isn’t that great returning them yet! We have not had her around children, but with her laid back and submissive personality, we think she will do great. Lea would fit well into almost any home that gives daily belly rubs.
She is a well- behaved dog with lots of love to give. Contact us for
