Lindy now Mindy

Lindy went to her forever home in NH on November 2, 2007.

Update from her parents in June 2009:

Hello Jeanne,
We adopted Lindy now Mindy from you Nov 2, 2007 we didn't think we could love a dog as much as we do her I couldn't of found a more perfect fit for our family, she has this spot in the livingroom by the couch that she HAS to roll onto her back and watch TV up side down (don't ask, ha ha) she stays out of the path of the family and thats "her spot", before she does this, she's got to stand in the middle of the livingroom and do this dance and she wiggles her butt, just about does a summersault and she's up side down with her toungue hanging out WE LOVE HER. We are still working on the car rides, we can't decipher between a cry of loving it or hating it most times she gets in the car willingly but she goes from front to back window to window and always wanting a pat on the head for security we aren't sure what's she's thinking but wished we did (doesn't need to go to the bathroom she does buisness before hand always) Mindy loves to dig in the back yard and can make holes for little children to disappear in, but when she's done we simply fill them back in... this is the worst thing she does and we feel if thats all her bad quality is whats the big deal. Mindy has been to the doc's of skin pigmentation, the doc had no clue why she got it and with antibotics it was gone in a few days and it never came back.... she is the well behaved grooming and loves having her nails done and bows in her hair after a good shampooing.. When she sleeps she prefers sleeping with her parents at the bottom of the bed with the fan blowing on her year round and she bumps the fan with her nose if its not turned on at bed time ( funny) We have 2 cats one male and a female, mindy prefers our female Cleo 2yrs old and when our male Jasper 12yrs comes in the room she always chases him out of the room but when we call her back she immediatly returns, mindy doesn't hurt or has NEVER done anything to Jasper and Jasper is now at the point it doesn't bother him any he feels safe with mindy, we have had other dogs visit and Mindy loves the company and hates it when play time ends and the dog leaves which brings us to the this question.......................... We would love to adopt another golden to give mindy a friend and give another golden a forever home, our question is "Because Mindy isn't to fond of our male cat, do you think we should stick to another female?" your the dog expert and would like your advice, please.  I'm sorry I don't know how to put pictures here from the folder but when I find out I will be sure to send you pictures of our beautiful mindy girl. I saw a few pics of dogs, is that all you have available or am I not looking in the right spot, we are looking for another dog in the age range of 2 yrs like mindy.

Thank you for your time and looking forward hearing from you,

   Sherry & Steve

Lindy was turned into the Tangipahoa Parish shelter because the family didn't have a fence. Lindy is 6 months old and was turned in with her sister Brandy, who is also on the GSGRR page. We'll have more info after she visits our vet.
