Lucy now Cabela
Lucy went to her forever home in New Orleans in November 2008. Update from her daddy and momma in August 2009: Judy, We wanted to give you an update on Lucy. As you know, our daughter, Elyssa, renamed her Cabela after the hunting store. We love Cabela! She is still a bundle of energy even at 15 months old and has an intellectual curiosity about the world around her. She LOVES the water and she swims in our pool as often as she gets a chance, at least once per day (she’s the one making the splash in the first picture). She is very loving and affectionate towards us. She chews/eats plants constantly (fortunately we don’t have anything poisonous in our yard) and enjoys chasing lizards which seem more abundant than usual this year. She still gives us fits at times, but she is all-in-all a great dog—willing to learn and to please us. Her two best friends are an older golden retriever and a yellow lab puppy that live across the street. She plays with them nearly every day.
