Rocko went to his forever home in New Jersey on May 3, 2008 with two other GSGRR doggies and their family.

Rocko is a three-year old beautiful big Golden who was an owner surrender that is slated to be vetted on Thursday, and at that time will be tested for heartworm. A cursory evaluation quickly revealed he was a sweet and gentle giant, full of love, hope and promise. An outside dog, only allowed indoors when the temperature dictated, which was not too often in Hancock County, Mississippi. However, when I went to evaluate this beautiful dog he was allowed inside where he behaved so well.

Rocko is looking for a forever home where he'll be considered part of a family that can devote the time he deserves to loving and nurturing him. His previous family obviously had a great deal of affection for him, and it was apparent in the way he interacted with them. When he was in the house, it was reported he didn't have any accidents, but may need to acclimate as most rescued dogs do when they make it to their forever home. He walks well on a leash and is very friendly with other dogs. I witnessed his gentle interaction with the family's other very small dog, and he was so soft and sweet with the young female teenaged daughter.

Rocko so relished the attention he got when he was inside, and was obedient and calm. The look of appreciation he shared was unreal as he was doted on by myself and the other family members present for my home visit. Rocko has no issues so to speak, the owners simply understand that they don't have the time this dog deserves, and want him to be loved by a family who can shower him with time and tenderness.

He will be neutered and up to date on vaccinations after his visit to the vet this week. If you are interested in having a new best friend who is sure to show you endless gratitude, this might just be the dog for you or your family.
