Sunset- adoption pending

Sunset went to her forever home in Reserve LA in October 2007.

My name is Sunset. I am about 8 years old but I have plenty of life left in me. I get along well with everybody. I am typical Golden which means all I worry about is getting the loving I deserve. I know my basic commands. I love people and really desire to be petted all the time. If you have an extra hand fill out an application and I will come and live with you forever.

Tucker went to his forever home in Memphis TN on Saturday January 21, 2006.

Update on January 24th:

Hi, Jan,

We’re enjoying Tucker so much and it’s just like he’s always been here in our home—he’s so well behaved and enjoys just being with us wherever we are. He was so good while at school today visiting the girls’ classrooms. He also loves stretching out on his new big bed and playing with all his new toys as he explores his new space. A funny note: we realized that he likes to bury things-- he buried a rawhide bone outside, and then he buried 2 of his fluffy toys behind the cushions of the sofa and chair!!

Thanks again for all the hard work you do for these great dogs. I’m spreading the word about Gulf South Golden Retriever Rescue!

"TUCKER THE TERRIFIC"

"Tucker"--as he's being affectionately named right now because he likes to "tuck" himself as closely to his human companions as possible--is a wonderful and beautiful Golden that was recently found tied to a trailer hitch and abandoned. Rescued by some kind and compassionate people, Tucker was surrendered to Gulf South Golden Retriever Rescue and is being fostered in Louisiana while he awaits finding his forever home. A handsome dog with a bright and lustrous gold coat, Tucker is estimated to be around 1-2 years old and is so well-behaved for such a young pup, sitting on command. Yet, his spirit soars and he loves to play with toys for hours on end. He is about 80 lbs and not overweight at all.

His foster family reports that Tucker is a well-mannered and loving dog, attentive to other animals and enjoys children. He would make a fabulous addition to a house with other dogs and children, or if you're the doting type and want a dog to lavish your love upon this holiday season, this versatile and eager dog will fit perfectly.

Tucker the terrific is a special dog that deserves an equally special home. Can you imagine being left without food or attention tethered to a trailer hitch? Do you have the love in your heart to share with Tucker? He will be fully vetted and ready to be a part of your family soon. This is one great tempered and good looking creature, truly typifying the Golden Retriever breed.
