Tiger
The Story of Tiger Tiger went to live in an assisted living facility but the stimulation proved to be too much for him. He is in a new forever home, one of the relatives of a resident took him home. He is doing well. Honey, another GSGRR, has taken his place. Tiger is a 6.5 year old male golden retriever which will be neutered on November 15th. He weighs in currently at 102 pounds and is nothing but pure golden love!!! tiger was a owner surrender; his daddy is very sick and grandma is now in a nursing home. The family desperately wanted to keep Tiger but with all of their health problems they did not think it was right to keep Tiger boarded at the vet any longer. They wanted what was best for Tiger and we applauded them for that!!
His foster family thinks he is one of the most awesome dogs they have fostered in the last year and considered adopting him themselves. But with three of their own, adoption of another would not allow for fostering for the group any longer.
Tiger has been boarded at the vet for the past two months and has lost some muscle tone in his back legs. In just the five days with having a yard to run around in, walks and playing fetch, his strength is returning quickly. He is very gentle and loving. If you pet him for a little while he can’t take it and falls to his back so that you can rub his belly. Even though he is very large, he is very gentle as well, such as taking food from your hand. |
