Toby

Toby went to his forever home on September 22, 2006. He will live in New Jersey.

Update from his mom on November 27th:

Jim & Carol-

Greetings and Happy Holidays from Wildwood, New Jersey!

We apologize for the delay in writing this update but we have been
grieving the loss of our 12 yr old Golden male Jonas. He had diabetes and
other complications. To ease his pain, we let him go to the Rainbow
Bridge.

Well our "Big Boy" Toby is just that. He now weighs in at 93 lbs but is
not filling out but growing TALLER! Our female Golden, Buffy can walk
right underneath him. We had both "kids" microchipped. We are still
searching for a Therapy evaluator in our area for Toby. He truly will make
a great therapy dog. Toby has become quite the bed hog. We are discovered
he is an escape artist. You let him off the lease and he is off in a
flash. It's ok o the beach but not in the park. Need to work on this.

We will send pictures soon by mail as our laptop crashed.

Thank again for such a wonderful boy and all of the great work you all do.

Will be in touch again soon with lastest of the Jolly Gold Giant's antics.

Best Regrds,

William and Pam

Jim-

Forgot to mention this amazing thing Toby did this past Sunday. We took
him down to the local fisherman's pub overlooking the canal. We introduced
him as our new cajun boy. A friend of ours put on some cajun music on the
juke box and Toby proceeded to jump up and put his paws on Bill's
shoulders and they danced to the music. A few minutes later he danced with
me! He is so so smart.

His dispostion is wonderful that I am considering taking him for therapy
dog training so he can visit the local hospitals and nursing homes. He is
a perfect candidate.

More to come

Pam

Dear Jim & Carol,

You know how stressful Friday was awaiting the arrival of Toby. Well, he
finally arrived at his forever home in Wildwood, New Jersey by the sea-
"Doo Wop Capital of the World". Toby (we are keeping his name) aka,
"Jolly Gold Giant", Tobster, Tobmeister, Buick Roadmaster (because he has
small portholes on the side of his lips) is quite the boy. He adapted
almost instantly to his new home and new brother (Jonas) and alpha sister (Buffy). I think he loves the salt air and we can't wait to run him on the
beach.

Though Buffy was vocal at first, but now Toby and she roll around on the
living room and play. Toby loves his toys, Mr. Rope and Mr. Quail. He
can't get enough of the rawhides.

September 26, 2006

Toby is at the groomers today. They are all anxiously waiting to meet him.
He will earn his fall scarf complete with pumpkins and leaves. It seems
he has an ear infection which we are treating.

Will take more pictures and send them soon.

Thanks again for this wonderful boy. Will send updates soon.

P.S. Please update his success story when you have a chance.

Best Regards,

Pamela
William

TO BE OR NOT TO BE….that is the question? The answer is “Toby”. This gorgeous boy is a new member of the GSGRR clan and has not been vetted to date. It is believed that Toby was on heartworm preventative prior to entering GSGRR. He is 4 years old and a “big boy”. Approximately 80 lbs. Toby loves kids, very friendly disposition, and gets along well thus far with cats and dogs.
