Ariele

Ariele went to her forever home in Texas on August 5, 2006.

Update from her new mom and family:

Hey Felicia, Jim and everyone at GSGRR:
It's hard to believe it has been a year since we adopted Ariele. I wanted to give everyone an update on how she is doing. She is Fantastic. She comes with Jimmy to the Farm every morning to do chores then back to the house to play and hang out. Between the two houses she has eight dog friends to romp and play with. Her energy level and confidence have grown by leaps and bounds! She still hates wood floors and Jimmy and Betty have had to buy carpet runners for the hallways. When they are on vacation or traveling she stays with Jay and I at the Farm and during the day when I am at work she foes to "Doggy Day Care" at my Mother's house. She is truly spoiled! She goes back to the vet next month for a heartworm test. He really wanted to do the treatment but we opted to continue to give the heartworm medicine and we are hoping to prove him wrong! I will forward pics soon. Thanks for everything!

Just wanted to send you a quick update. Ariele is doing fantastic! Jimmy and Betty went to Atlanta this week so we got to have her back at the farm! She discovered the ponds this weekend, and once she figured out she could swim she didn't want to come out! After a bath she curled up on the couch with Jay and watched the football games. I am attaching some photos of our day at the pond! She really gets along well with all the dogs even Gabby (our 13yr old lab rescue who is ruler of the roost).

Poem written by her new family members

THE PERFECT GOLDEN

BY

ALEX AND EVAN

For the perfect dog we searched high and low. For one that was not too fast or too slow. A golden so sweet and loves to lay at your feet. A golden Angel is what we dreamed of. From Dallas to Houston to Morgan City. We had almost given up, That would have been a pity. In came a call about a Louisiana Belle by the name of Ariele and she has such a story to tell! Her life before now was not so breezy, she came from a home where love did not come easy. She was given up for getting out of her yard. She was all alone back there and it was so so hard. Ariele longed for a forever home. One that was full of love, kindness and fun. She has found that home under the Beaumont summer sun. Her first days here have allowed her to blossom. She is everything we dreamed of. She is so awesome. Cows, horses, friends, and fields she could have only dreamed of before. She has embraced every new experience as a beautiful gift. And at the end of the day a kiss on the nose and a rub on the belly puts her to sleep beside the bed in a hurry. Me Maw and Pe Paw we know your Louisiana belle Ariele will bring smiles, love, laughter and companionship as Any perfect Golden would do!

Jim and Judy,
I just wanted to give you a quick update on Ariele's first few days at the farm. She has been fabulous! She has enjoyed every minute on the ranch and we have enjoyed every minute having her. She has helped with the chores everyday and has been by my side the whole time! Although she is still not sure of the cows. She loves to run in the hayfields with the other dogs and settles down at night on her bed beside ours. Jimmy and Betty are coming home from Alaska tonight and I can not wait to introduce her. I could not have imagined a better dog for them. I am just glad I will still get to see her everyday! My eight year old wrote a poem to give to Jimmy and Betty about her (with some help from me), that is how much she has touched our hearts in the few short days we have had her!

Thanks a bunch! I will send photos soon.
Rebecca

Ariele is a 4 year old really sweet girl. If Velcro is what you want, you have found your gal. She will go to the vet this week to be spayed and a health check.

I am a loving golden, that is excellent with kids of all ages and cats. I am calm, and listen well. I am learning my commands and doing well with them. I am also learning to potty outside at my new foster home. I also know not to jump on my family. Being groomed is one of my favorite things to do. Check back soon for my new pictures!!
