Hi Melanie!
I hope that this finds you well...:)
I was thinking about where we were last year in the adoption process
with Belle, and it was a year ago--so I thought that I would send
an update:)
Belle is doing WONDERFULLY!--she is approaching 12 1/2 years old--and
although she is starting to show her age just a bit--she is still
the same pup who came into our hearts a year ago.
When Belle came to live with us, we owned a condo in downtown Portsmouth,
and it had about two flights of stairs--these were not a problem
for her at all--until about 3 months ago--so, we did what any good
doggie parents would do--we decided that it was time for a house
with a yard...so about a month ago, we moved to New Castle, NH (about
3 miles from our condo) and now Ms. Belle is in heaven. She can walk
to the water and swim--we have an outdoor shower to hose off after
the beach, she has a yard--and, best of all--no stairs...
We love the house, and she appears to as well--her appetite has perked
up, she loves to walk to the water--its just great.
She has had some health scares over the year--but we have a great
Vet, and everything was taken care of promptly--with minimal discomfort
to Belle...which is great.
Overall, things are great. Again, I wanted to say thank you for all
that you do, and to let you know that the last year has been phenomenal
with Belle and we hope to continue providing her with a great life...

We took Belle to the ocean this morning for the first
time--she absolutely LOVED it! She smiled non-stop! She loved swimming
to retrieve her 'air dog' toy:)) She is such a love!

only been here a week-it feels like she has been part of our family
for years:)"

I've been meaning to call or write all week! Belle is AMAZING!!!
She is such a wonderful dog...and we have no idea how to thank you
for facilitating the adoption!
She loves all of the goodies that we got for her...esp. her bed:))
She loves to go for walks and play with her ball...and most of all
to chase our kitties!
She is so well-behaved, its unreal...she is perfect! I took her to
our vet this week because she came with a lot of medications, and
I wanted specifics, etc--and our vet gave her a pretty good bill
of health--with a few meds that should take care of everything!
She is just so beautiful and so wonderful--thank you so very much
for running such an incredible organization!
