Blake is a beautiful blond boy that was turned in to a shelter because his family could no longer afford to care for him.  He has plenty of puppy energy and is ready to run and play but will settle down inside.  He is always excited to go to the dog park where he can run and play as long as he is allowed.  He seems to be filled with joy.

Blake is crate trained, housebroken and knows some basic commands.  Blake is a fun dog to have around.  He loves people of all ages.  He doesn’t quite know his size and is able to run a small child over while trying to greet them.  He is learning boundaries and gets better daily.

He is very toy oriented and has shown some aggression towards other dogs over toys.  This seems to occur mostly with a new toy or a new dog that he isn’t familiar with.  He also shows mild food issues.  He will wait for food while others dogs are served, however; once he completes his meal, if another dog has not complete theirs, he will try to steal the other dogs food any way he can.  He will back down if a human is present to tell him “no”.  He loves to be with his people and would likely do best in a home possibly as an only dog or with a less dominant dog since he currently has these issues.  His foster family has been working with him on these issues. It's believed this can be overcome with training.

Blake turns 1 year old on Jan 18, 2011.  Wouldn’t it be nice to see him in a new home on his birthday? What a great present that would be!
