Buddy-
update as of july 2011- he is now 15 yrs young

Hi Judy,
I just wanted to let you know that Buddy celebrated his 15th birthday with us yesterday! We love him so much and have been very fortunate to have his as long as we have. When we adopted him, it was Mother's Day of May 2005. He was 8 going on 9 years old then. He still runs around the yard with our other dog Boots and acts as much like a puppy as he can. He sleeps a lot, as old dogs do, but he is doing well. I treasure this dog just as much as my children. We love him very much and are glad that you had him for us to adopt. Thanks for all you do.
Sincerely,
Kathy

Dear Judy,
Hello stranger. I hope all is going well for you. We are all doing
good.
I haven't sent you any pictures lately of Buddy, Katrina kind of
got in the way. So here are a few over the past month of our lovable
doggy.
This is Buddy's first Christmas at our home. The kids and I have
already gotten him all of Petsmart for Christmas. He is going to be
so excited. He is so photogenic. He gets so excited when I pull out
the reindeer antlers. I thought he wouldn't like them, but he barks
and dances all over the place for them. Anyway, he just wanted to say
thank you again, for letting him be adopted by his new family. He is
so loved, as you can see!
Buddy says, "Merry Christmas Golden Rescue" and a happy new
year to all.
Love,
Wesley, Kathy, Jarrod, Brendan, and of course Buddy

Buddy went to his forever
home in Slidell, LA on Thursday May 5th.

Update 6/14/05
Buddy is such a happy dog. It's like he has lived with
us his whole life. We went to the groomers again this week and got pretty
again. He got a red, white and blue bandana. My neighbor thought he
was so cute prancing around with it on. He gets very proud of himself
after being bathed and they give him his new bandana. The kids are just
in love with him as does the other dog, Cutie Pie. Every night at bedtime
Buddy has to wrestle around on the floor with me. He's just a big ol'
puppy!
I hope to hear from you soon. I just thought you'd like to hear how
wonderful life is for a dog you rescued.
Kathy
Update 5/8/05.
Hi Judy,
Just wanted to let you know that Buddy is doing great! He got all
pretty Saturday at the groomers. I think he now has about 20 new toys.
He also has two new bandanas. My other son, Jarrod, the 7 year old
is absolutely in love with him. He took about 200 pictures when he
got home Saturday. I will send you a few of them, but I'll spare you
all of them! He spends every waking moment with him. The little girl
next door Samantha came over at 9:30 pm just to see what we got (She's
8) She can't get enough of him either. She got him toys too! He seems
to have done okay during the storm today. I wasn't here. He is very
afraid of fireworks and storms the letter from his original owner
stated and took sedatives during fireworks. They said he would hide
in their tub (which I think he did here today because the bathmat
and our clothes on the floor were all messed up.) when it stormed.
He is such a pleasure to have in our home, I don't know what we ever
did without him. Jarrod bought a book at their school bookfair today
on rescue dogs because it was on Golden Retrievers. When I picked
up Brendan, the 21 mo. old from daycare I asked if he wanted to go
see Buddy?! He started looking all around the room saying "BUDDY!" "BUDDY!" I'm
sure all of your rescued dogs go to wonderful homes, but we think
we got the best dog yet!! And we are partial to the good home he got
too!!!!!! Please let Malay know that Buddy is doing great! And he
is more than welcome to email me anytime. I hope I don't bother you
emailing you, but we just want you to know that he is in good hands.
Thanks again for allowing us to adopt such a wonderful creature of
Gods.
Yours truly,
Kathy
From Buddy's new mom--Buddy has had a big welcome his
first 3hours in our home. WE LOVE HIM!! And we love all of you for finding
him.
Love,
Kathy
