Charlie is an active seven year old boy who loves and craves attention. He was picked up as a stray by the Jefferson Parish animal shelter. He was microchipped and when his owners were contacted they stated they did not want him anymore. He came into the program very underweight, with a poor coat, and sick from neglect. Time has gone by and with proper food, love, and exercise he has become a very handsome young man. He is crate trained, walks fairly well on a leash, and is good with other dogs. Charlie does have a lot of energy and would need exercise and a basic obedience course. He has a sensitive stomach and after many different food trials he does best on lamb and rice and also takes a generic form of Pepcid to prevent vomiting. He has been known to throw up after eating, but the lamb and rice as well as medication keep this under control. He is very affectionate and deserves a great home! If you think you can give Charlie the forever home he deserves complete our adoption application and mention his name.
