updated photos

November 2007--Here are some updated pictures of our little family. Buzz continues to be the best family dog ever. He truly loves his human family. We took these pictures for Christmas cards this year. Buzz loves to be a part of the pictures as you can see. He is an absolute ham! Everyone who meets Buzz thinks he is the sweetest dog ever. We still can’t believe how lucky we were to find Buzz. We are so thankful for your group and deliver wonderful testimony on the benefits of adopting a dog. Dainna

I just wanted to send an updated photo of Buzz with our two boys Matt and Ben. Ben is the youngest; he just turned 4 on October 28. Buzz is the middle child; he will turn 5 on February 14, 2007. Matt is the oldest; he will be 6 on January 3, 2007. We are all still delighted to have Buzz in our lives. Even when he is a little high maintenance, you can’t help but love him. All of our neighbors think that he is just the greatest dog. At the end of his walk, he looks up at you so that he can take the leash entirely in his mouth and he walks himself home. It is a trick that everyone loves.

Each day we are thankful that Buzz has been brought into our lives. We just couldn’t have picked a more loving and gentle dog for the boys to grow up with. We hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season.

I hope that everyone is doing o.k. after the terrible storms. I read about Jim’s surgery. We send our prayers for his safe recovery. You all do so much for these dogs!

I wanted to send you some updated photos of our baby, Buzz. He is doing great. He will be 4 on February 14th. He is still so wonderful with my boys and any other child that he comes in contact with. He is extremely spoiled and is having a hard time adjusting to the time change. Every day when we returned from work and school, we all went for a walk around the LSU lakes. Well, now that it is dark by 5:30, it is difficult to get that same walk in. I know that he is looking forward to the springtime when the days become longer.

UPDATE: 11/18/04

Just wanted to let you know that our Buzzy is doing great. He is having a hard time with the time change since we always went for a walk around the LSU lakes. Here are some photos we recently took with Buzz. We are still amazed at what a great dog he is for our family. He loves our two boys as much as we do. The match could not be better. Happy Holidays!

We celebrated two weeks with Buzz on Saturday, April 10th. Buzz has
continued to show us what a great family dog he is. He craves attention.
He loves to sit at your feet and receive many pets. He continues to allow
the boys to lay on him. He has not once become impatient with either of the boys. He is such a rare find.

Buzz has finally realized that he is home. He loves his back yard. In
fact, I think he may have been a hunter in his former life. He spends much
time sending all the squirrels up the trees. Buzz has done so well inside
while we are away that he has the run of the house. One exception, I do
have to keep the boys playroom closed because Buzz has developed an
attraction to Thomas the Tank Engine. It can be a disaster if we come home and find that Thomas has been chewed to bits.

Buzz has become protective of the boys when the neighbors' dogs are around. I originally thought that Buzz was a submissive type, but he has proven that he will be quite commanding when it comes to his boys. He has given several fierce barks and has even shown his teeth to show his authority to the neighboring animals.Still, he remains a big love bug to all humans. He prefers to sit down at the feet of anyone we come in contact with to receive some pets and words of admiration. We are often asked about our adoption of Buzz. He continues to be the "Poster Child for Goldens." I will be surprised if you do not receive any referrals because of him.

I have attached photos that were taken at our two week anniversary with
Buzz. He is so photogenic. Even though many photos were not chosen, it
wasn't because of Buzz. He sat in each and every picture with a beautiful
smile on his face.

"Judy & Jim

Our first weekend with Buzz has been great! I felt as though he would just walk right into our home as though he belonged, and he did!

Buzz loves our two boys unconditionally. He allows our 3 year old, Matthew, to walk him on a leash, brush him, and takes a nap with him in his room. Matthew has also asked for Buzz to sleep in his room at night. Last night, Buzz willingly went in and fell asleep in Matt's room right beside his bed. I woke him at 10:30 to let him out and then brought him into our room. He is such a quite boy! He sleeps beside our bed until we get up and then he is ready to go.

Buzz also allows our 17 month old, Benjamin, to lie on him. Ben thinks that Buzz is a big cuddle bug. Ben has found Buzz's paws amazing. He is constantly touching his feet. He also loves to touch Buzz's nose. Buzz allows all of this probing and doesn't even let out a grunt.

He is a very quite dog. We have only heard him bark once. As I envisioned, he is a fabulous family dog, not a watchdog. That is exactly what I wanted.

I will forward another set of photos to you in a separate email.

Dainna"
