Dexter is a beautiful medium sized red male. He found his way into the shelter because he is an escape artist. Dexter should not be left unattended in the yard for this reason. He is quite under weight.  He is adapting well to his new surroundings. His appetite has improved and the weight gain will follow.
 He is very affectionate and loving. He gets along well with other dogs and loves people. He has had some basic training and knows basic commands. He does have a tendency to jump up when greeting people but will sit on command. He does fairly well on the leash and is crate trained and housebroken.
Dexter will require regular exercise since he still acts more like a puppy.(no chewing)  He loves to play fetch. Dexter will need a family willing to be patient with this young energetic golden.
