Duchess

Duchess went to her forever home with Tim at Martha's Vineyard, MA on 2/10/04.

Tim Writes:

"We picked up Dutchess at one thirty in Boston yesterday. What a beautiful girl she is. A little whimpering in the crate but as soon as she was out she was exploring the Continental air freight offices and charming the staff. We drove back through Boston with her in the back of the car, calm but excited and checking out the sights. She ate, drank and sniffed around all evening and seems comfortable going to her crate. On the way from the airport we stopped at a Petco and got an assortment of supplies including a book which suggested making her feel as though her crate was her home, so there is a tennis ball and blanket in there. She slept well, judging by the snoring. She is not crazy about the tennis ball, however. It's fresh out of the can so it may smell funny.

I have to get some things done myself but she is at the beach with my girlfriend right now. Has she been to the beach much? Later in the day we will take her for a little spa treatment and an introductory visit to a vet. She seem to be adjusting nicely. I spoke with Jim Butts to let him know she arrived safely, shortly after leaving the airport.

So that's the news. As I mentioned before, I will send some photoes to you and Mr. Butts as soon as I figure out how to load them.

Regards,

Tim"
