Duke IV
Update from his dad in January 2010: Hi Alicia, I just thought I would give you a Duke update. He is everything we had hope for and is now a big part of the family Probably no surprise, he really hasn't grown too much. He enjoys fetching the ball and rough housing with our son. And he is getting much better at walks. He is a puupy and as such, he is full of energy. It hasn't come without challenges though. As you saw, if he gets an opportunity to run, he is out of here. It has only occurred a couple of times, but he is like a deer in the open and he just goes. Still working with him on this. If you are ever in the neighborhood, you are more than welcome to stop by and see him. I hope all is well with you! Duke has added tremendously to our family. For this, "Thank you" again! John Duke went to his forever home in New Orleans on November 3, 2009. Name: Duke Date of Birth: 11-10-2008 Gender: Male Date of Intake: 9-19-2009 Vaccinations: 9-17-2009 Neuter: 9-19-2009 Heartworm status: tested negative Energy level: high Duke is a handsome male full of puppy energy and is in constant motion. He is of small build, more the size of a female but he is young. It is clear that he has had some training. He knows basic commands; sit, lay down, fetch and he drops the ball upon return. He walks well on a leash most of the time. He is not a fan of cats. He is a bit energetic for small children. Duke would likely do very well in an active household. He has been at his foster home since the end of Sept. As we get to know him better, we will update information on him. |
