Gizmo now Griffey

Gizmo went to his forever home and is now named Griffey and is living in MS.

Hello Malay,

Griffey is doing wonderful here at his new home. After a few weeks I can say that having two dogs is extremely difficult but gets exponentially better with time and experience. My other dog Jersey is a little jealous but she's getting over it more and more each day. Griff does really well with his crate and goes in all by himself. He is really mild mannered and all of the people at the dog park love him to death. One girl in particular just picks him up and holds on to him all the time. I'm afraid she might kidnap him some day. He is also already in the routine of going to the park each day after work like Jersey. He waits by the door until we leave then runs to the dog park gate and waits with Jersey until I let them in. A lot of dogs are freaked out the first time they go to the park but he just fit right in without skipping a beat. Griffey is pretty much the all around perfect dog. He is easily trained, well mannered, loves car rides, listens well and just wants to please the people and other dogs around him. Also, the vet says he is as healthy as can be and that the worms are all gone. So, we're glad about that.

Thanks again for taking care of him and working with me. I'm extremely grateful to have Griff as a part of the family! Oh, and I've attached a few pictures so you can see him now.

Hello Malay,

Gizmo (now Griffey) made it to his new home Wednesday night. He and Jersey get along real well...except Jersey is a little protective of her toys (and they're all HER toys!...even the ones I bought for Griffey). We've made a couple trips to the dog park and everyone loves him. A lot of dogs are tentative when they first get there since there are so many dogs but he just jumped right in. I've attached a few pictures from his first few days here.

Gizmo was found wandering on the streets in New Orleans and was picked up by volunteers of another local rescue organization. He is about 8 to 10 weeks old, very sweet, playful, and upto date on puppy immunizations. He is scheduled to be neutered on April 22. We do not have any information about Gizmo's parents, but he looks at least part golden retriever. He has all the puppy energy to burn. Gizmo loves to be hugged, petted, belly-rubbed, and scratched behind the ears. He loves to play with other dogs and follows any human being around. He is eagerly waiting to find his forever home to shower the family members with good doggy kisses.
