Honey is a beautiful, young female Golden Retriever and a great companion animal. She enjoys being petted and will follow her people around the house to be close to them. She is in excellent health and has the energy of a young dog. Honey needs a home where she will get daily exercise. A fenced yard or daily leash walking can meet her exercise needs, as she is not interested in playing ball. Honey is a lover, not a retriever. Honey likes to play in a rough and tumble way with other dogs, so she will be more easily managed in a home without another dog. She is house trained and crate trained and likes to do basic obedience commands in order to earn a small food treat. Honey will give her family hours of affection and entertainment. Honey came to Gulf South Rescue needing a lot of training and behavior modification. She has responded beautifully and is now ready for a family of her own.
