Katie 3

Katie went to her forever home and will be well loved.

Update in February 2010:

Hi Margaret,
I wanted to tell you the good news about Katie.  She just had her yearly checkup and her blood work for the heartworms came back negative for the heartworm larvae so the monthly heartworm treatment is working.  As long as we can keep that up, the adult worms will eventually die off in a couple of years.  Thought you would like to know and pass it along to the others at GSGRR.
I'm so glad that we have her - we just love her to death!!!!!

Katie3 is a loving, attentive and very calm young dog who gets along well with children of all ages and other pets.  My children love her, hug her and dress her up. She's patient and loves the attention. She has never chased our cat, respects the species greatly. She's apparently been around cats and other animals.   She's housebroken, has good manners and is well behaved.  I've not seen her chew up anything she wasn't supposed to. She loves stuffed animals though, but even those have made it, all her "toys" are intact so far.   She could benefit from training to walk on a leash, she does pull a bit.

It's seldom, but she can get excited and wants to gently hug and show her affection, but understands the word no very well.  I believe she hugs mainly when she thinks someone has invited her to.  She just needs some consistent guidance from a loving family!   She goes in her kennel on command and sleeps there quietly, although she would prefer a comfy rug next to an occupied bed.
If you think Katie3 would be a good match for you please complete our online application and mention her name.
