Hi Judy,

Hope all is well. We live in Madison, MS now and thought you’d like to see an updated picture of Shadow (Kent). He is in good health and enjoying a very large backyard. He is the love of our lives and his two cat sisters as well!

Hi Judy,

Great to hear from you! Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! We are doing fine. Our boy is spoiled rotten. He is beautiful. He weighs 98 pounds now. So we are watching his weight. He is still learning how to play with toys. He is so strong and a big sweetheart. We get the best hugs and kisses from him and he soaks it up. We walk him and everyone says what a beautiful retriever he is. He is on Sentinel now and doing fine with that for his heartworm preventive.

The picture attached is his personality. Totally irresistible. Every one he meets has to hug him. Our vet gets on the floor with him and hugs him. You just have too. He spell bounds you. A great soul he is.

We will have to bring him to see you sometime, when you are available. He loves to ride in the car.

Lynn

"Hi Judy,

Shadow finally finished his heart worm treatment. He was a sick puppy again for the third treatment. The ivermectin made him very woozy with vomiting and diarrhea. But, as you can see he is fully recovered and feeling quite well. This was a visit from his Auntie Marian presenting him a toy from her parents. He has gained 10 pounds and is now at his ideal weight. He is such a joy. A big huggy bear. He will soon have the run of the house, instead of his room (which he seems very content) since he is over his treatments. Hope all is well with you and Reba and Annie.

Lynn emails on 7/11/04:

"Judy,

Shadow did fine last night and this morning. Eating and drinking with no problem. He lets us know when he needs to go out (goes to his leash and then to the sliding glass door). Thank goddness. That was the largest pile I’ve ever seen (it was art!). He is resting well with the medication. A big teddy bear. Maybe that’s why he was named Shadow, he is your shadow. A Velcro dog to the max.

Here is the picture from Dr. Walker’s waiting room. He is a definite chair man. He has picked a green recliner in his room. Also sizing up the bed in his room. I guess because his hips are sore is the only thing keeping him off. We will get the mattress cover like you suggested. Kerry just ordered him his LL Bean bed, Jacquard Navy Blue (the biggest one they have). Auntie M (Marian) came to see him for a very brief visit last night and presented him with a rope toy and a big ball to welcome him to the neighborhood.

I can’t thank you enough for him and all the good work you all do. He has filled a big hole in our hearts. We love him so!

I will keep you updated on his treatment.

Lynn and Kerry"
