Manu now Midas

Manu went to his forever home on August 10th, 2005.

Update from his momma on March 8th, 2007:

I saw the Golden Retriever article in the Times Picayune, February 18. I was fortunate enough to adopt a magnificent dog through you in July 2005, named Manu (and subsequently renamed Midas). He is beautiful, has has professional training and is a superb breed representative. Lots has happened since then - I did get out with the dog but lost essentially everything. I had made friends with Tammy (do not remember her last name) in Bay St. Louis and would like to reconnect if you have any contact information. Her dog was Cooper. I am in the process of rebuilding in BSL - but it sure is tough! I just thought you would like an update and appreciation expressed again for what you have done so well. With thanks - Deirdre

Manu is a beautiful and wonderfully behaved, three-year-old deep red boy whose owner sadly surrendered him to Gulf South Golden Retriever Rescue because he was headed to Iraq! Fortunately, Manu was adopted sight-unseen by a fabulous woman on the Gulf Coast who has ample love to share with this gorgeous creature! She intends to walk him daily on the beach with her sweet Border Collie, Nessie--who has already decided she loves Goldens after meeting my sweet boy, Cooper. (But that's not so surprising, Cooper is BIG GOLDEN LOVE PERSONIFIED!) And, MANU is now BIG RED LOVE MULTIPLIED BY TEN!

Heartworm negative and in good health and hearty disposition, Manu is playing with his foster golden brothers, Cooper and Bergh for a few days while he awaits his neuter surgery and ultimate union with his forever momma at the end of the week!
