Moxie went to her forever home in NOLA on 7/2/2011

Hi Alicia. update in feb 2012

Moxie is doing great!  She is very loveable and always brightens my day. She has become quite the protector by barking at people and dogs as they pass by her window. She is lighting bolt fast chasing balls inside and outside.  I am so glad she is with me, thanks for what you do!

Sandy

P.S. I don't know how to send pictures, but when Sherry comes over I will have her send you one!

Moxie is currently under vet care but she will soon be available for adoption.

Moxie is a playful and sweet young girl who comes to us from the St. Tammany Animal Shelter.  Although we do not know her lineage, she appears to be a golden retriever/Aussie mix.  Moxie has a moderate energy level.  She seems to behave appropriately for each circumstance.  She is quiet while I work but playful when the humans are ready for play.  She is housebroken.  She knows some basic commands.  She enjoys her crate and will go in without being told.  All in all, she has been a terrific house guest.

Unfortunately, little Moxie has a bad case of heartworms and will need full treatment.  This is an expensive treatment but it will kill these parasites that could kill her.  If you would like to sponsor all or part of Moxie’s treatment, please click the “Have a Heart of Gold Sponsorship” icon on the home page.  Your support is greatly appreciated!
