Oscar now Charlie
Oscar- now Charlie - went to his forever home in New Orleans LA on Sunday November 5th, 2006. Update from his momma and daddy on May 28, 2007: Hi Judy! So sorry it's taken me so long for to respond to your email. Charlie (Oscar) is doing great! We LOVE him. He is the best dog, ever. Charlie has so much personality! He likes to "talk" to us. If we aren't paying any attention to him, he will make this funny growling noise and then sigh. It's pretty funny. If he wants to have his back scratched, he will paw at you; and when John and I are watching TV, he will curl up in between us on the sofa. He is such a loving and friendly dog. Charlie plays with Ava (another golden adopted from your rescue organization ) as much as he can. Ava will come over and they will play for hours in the backyard. Charlie also likes to go for walks. I take him running around Audubon Park and after each lap, I will stop off at the water fountain so he can cool off. He loves it! I think that's the highlight of his run, more so than chasing squirrels. Anyway, happy Memorial Day! We'll send pictures soon. Cristin and John Meet Oscar.... Isn't he a handsome golden boy???!!!??? Oscar is a very playful, happy-go-lucky kind of guy who is 1 year old and gets along with both male & female dogs as well as takes cats right in stride. He is crate trained, not shown any destructive behavior, but does need to work on his house manners which his foster mom is diligently working on right now. Considering Oscar was found as a stray, he will need obedience classes with his new family and in the end he will make a super dog. For someone who wants a young, very eager to learn Golden that has a zest for life, Oscar would fit the bill very nicely and will no doubt become a wonderful addition to an active family. Oscar is heartworm free so that's an added plus. He is so ready for adoption day.
