Ramsey went to his forever home in Slidell, LA in January 2009.

Ramsey update in Feb 2009:

Hi Judy,

Here are some pics of Ramsey and his new "brothers". He is doing well. As you can see he loves tug ropes, and is always tugging with me or the other dogs or running after it in the yard. He still has a lot of puppy in him and makes us laugh. He has been a little stir crazy this past week because of this yucky weather we've been having, but when the sun shines, he loves to lay out in the grass.

He runs so fast! I thought Rocky my shepard mix ran fast but there is no comparison with those long legs! When the two of them start running in the yard you just have to jump out of the way! LOL He loves to chase tennis balls too.

He sleeps well at night but ends of sneaking in bed with us really early in the morning. For 89 lbs. he sure is light on his feet when he jumps up. :-)  He loves to snuggle!

Thanks for your help in finding him. He is a very beautiful and sweet dog!

Ramsey is tall, lanky and red. He's about 27" at the shoulder and 33" at the top of his head. He weighs about 85 pounds. He's slender, but not skinny. His adult coat hasn't filled in yet, but he'll really look great when it does.

In the first week I've fostered Ramsey, he's made himself at home with Leif, my 6 1/2 year old male. They play like puppies. He's house trained and hasn't chewed anything except dog toys. He has full run of the house.
He's been left alone in the house with Leif for up to 3 hours with no problems. He whines at the door when he needs to go outside.

He's friendly with people and other dogs. Ramsey's very affectionate and will jump into your lap or onto your bed if allowed. He wants all the attention he can get. He's not too good at 'sit', but will lie down if you tell him 'down' and point at the floor. He walks OK on a leash, but could use some practice. He comes when called but will need some basic obedience training.
