Savannah 4 Savannah went to her forever home in NOLA in May 2010. Update in January 2011. Just thought you might like to know how well Savannah (now known to me as Annie Muffin), whom I adopted from you a couple of months ago, is doing . She has become more and more playful over these last two months and LOVES to go to the dog park, where she has learned to romp and play with the other dogs. When she first went, she must have been kind of nervous, because she didn't go up to the other dogs too much, but now, she acts like she owns the place! I try to get her there a lot, because it is a great place for her to get all that runnin' temporarily out of her system. And she really likes her little "mini-shower" at the park's dog bath after each outing; in fact when she sees that we are getting ready to leave, she heads straight for it.
She has also had her first day of beauty now, a short summer cut that has cut down drastically on her astronomical shedding rate. She didn't really like the experience too much, but I think she has forgiven me.
As for the car, at first it was hard getting her to like it and to get in and out of it without special coaxing, but now she knows just what to do. I think she changed her attitude toward the car when she realized that it usually means a trip to the dog park.
She also likes to hunt, but doesn't get much chance, being a city dog. She did catch a lizard once, but that's about it. She does always have her eyes, ears, and nose out for squirrels during her walks.
She still has the occasional "accident" in the house, but we are working on it. We also are going to obedience school starting in the next couple of weeks. She seems so smart and eager to please that I know she will be great with it.
I still miss my old dog, Clipper, but love Annie Muffin more than I can say.

Savannah4 is red with gold highlights and a very pretty Golden girl.
She is still has puppy energy, has been known to chew shoes, books and tear apart whole boxes of tissues. She will also counter surf and grab and eat what she can reach. She is very fast at grab and eat:) She seems very fond of bread.
Savannah is also a typical Golden giving plenty of love and attention to people and asking for love in return. Given the chance she is more than willing to climb up in your lap or share your bed.
Savannah settles down fast when inside and is content to lay nearby when you're busy.
She has learned to sit for petting but will jump up on you at times so she still needs some work on her manners.
Savannah gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and will play when invited by the other dogs.
