Update on feb 5, 2012--Fred and I love our new "old" golden, Shelby.   She was a perfect addition to our family and a great pal for our 14 year old rescue, Brady.   Shelby gets along well with everyone and especially enjoys the visits from our grandkids. We appreciate the personalities and quirks of our "golden oldies".  Keep up the good work GSGRR!

Shelby needs a new home.  Her human mom passed away.  The family cannot keep their precious animal due to multiple life changes. She is crate trained.  She gets along well with other dogs.  She gets along well with cats.

Shelby is very loving.  She is a true “Velcro” dog; following you all over the house just to make sure you are OK and just maybe get a pat on the head for just being there. She will sit by your side forever and not move if your hand is on her, even your feet will work (she loves to be patted on the head).  She is very overweight.  She is being put on a diet and hopefully those added lbs will melt away.

Generally she is a calm girl; however, storms cause her much anxiety.  Medications settle her down during severe storms.  She is not destructive during storms but does get very nervous.

If this nice dog sound like a good match for your household, please complete an adoption application and mention her by name.
