Star now Katie

Star/Katie went to her
forever home on September 30, 2006.
Update on April 10th,
2007:
Hi Kathy,
Sorry we haven't contacted you before now. With every newsletter we
receive from you we are reminded to write and send pictures, well here
they are. She has adjusted fine with us & we are all crazy about
her. The boys think I've lost my mind because I call her "My Beautiful
Girl" and she comes running. My husband takes her to the office
with him once a week. We refer to her as "OUR GIRL" & some
people think we have a daughter but she really is our dog. Call us
crazy but we're very, very lucky to have found your web site and we
tell everyone to go on it and adopt the most wonderful dogs. Thank
you again, Dorothee & Thom
Hello,
My name is STAR and I want to be the **blazing Star** in your life!!
I am approximately two years old, heartworm negative, up-to-date
on all my shots, currently spayed, and a little underweight at
53 pounds, but my foster mommy is doing a good job of fattening
me up. I have a petite stature for a golden retriever and have
a gentle disposition with a great big golden heart. I want nothing
more than to be at your side (alias Velcro dog). I absolutely LOVE
kids and get along well with other dogs (I have two foster sisters
and a brother). By no fault of my own, I am just now learning how
to play ball and walk on a leash, and all the things that most
pets get to do with their families. This all seems new to me, but
I am a fast learner and well mannered inside my foster home.
I have been named Star because I have
a pure white patch on my chest that looks like a star. So won't you
wish upon a Star??? I promise to help you make all your dreams come
true in pet ownership.
Every night I sit beneath the stars
above and watch for shooting stars in the midnight air. When I see
one traveling across the atmosphere, I close my eyes and wish for
only one thing...and that's for a new family to love me forever.
Like two stars that travel the earth
to reunite into one, that's where I'll be waiting for my new family.
Destiny awaits us, Star.
