Star with her new momma in Feb 2010

Now called Sugah Baby

Star went to her forever home on February 26, 2010. She will be living in Mandeville LA.

Update from her new momma:

Hi Julie,  Star has been renamed to Sugah Baby.  She is so smart, she comes to her new name already.  She gets along with both dogs and 1 cat.  My other cat just keeps her distance.  She will come around.  She plays really cute with my pug-wauwau.  Giada weighs only 12 lbs.  but thinks she is a big as Sugah.  Sugah has chewed up 2 quilts and 1 wooden doorstopper, but I am hoping things will get better.  She sleeps in our bedroom on the floor.  I have a large wire crate set up in there with her food, keeping the door open.  I am hoping that she will be comfortable with the crate and I can put her there when I am away for several hours.  My husband and I love her.  She is already a member of the family. Thanks, Cathy

Star is a pretty golden mix with a white stripe down her forehead. Star comes to us as a stray from S.W. Louisiana. She is a very gentle dog who loves people and other dogs.  Her energy level tends to match her environment. If she has playmates then her energy increases. If she is in a general household situation then she is calm.  She will make terrific companion for someone. Star does chew and has been destructive when left unattended. She does much better when she gets plenty of exercise. It's necessary to crate her when she will be left alone. She is very smart and has learned to escape from a plastic crate.  She has had a more difficult time figuring out an escape route from a wire crate. Hopefully with age and training her chewing will decrease.
