Trey Allen

updates on his trip to the Outer Banks of NC in Sept 2009

Update in June 2010-

My beautiful GSGRR alumnii , Trey Allen is now a PAWS therapy dog for St Hubert's in Madison N.J. The highest score you could get was a 19...Trey got a 19 1/2 !!

We adopted Trey Allen in July of 2007 and he lives in southern New Jersey. 
Our Golden, Chester, needed a   friend and I came upon the GSGRR web site. 
We decided as a family to offer a home to a special needs Golden. 
At that time, Jim and Carol Butts were fostering Trey, an 8 month old tripod Golden. 
After a few phone calls, we mutually agreed that Trey Allen should join our family.


My son and I met Trey, sight unseen, at Newark Airport on a hot July day. 
He hopped into our car and into our hearts immediately. 
He teaches us everyday that a disability does not hold you back. 
He loves our kids, neighborhood dogs, and our dog customers that boardwith us as 
I have a pet sitting business.

We hope eventually to have Trey certified as a therapy dog, and to visit hospitals and 
nursing homes, sharing the gifts Trey brings to everyone.
