Trip
Trip went to his forever home in June 2008. I just got off the phone with Gail and she has officially decided to adopt Trip!! This special little dog has found himself a great home! I could not be happier for the two of them. He has been an almost constant companion for the last week. He has been to doggie day care to introduce him to other dogs and also a nail salon where he apparantly charmed everyone.I will be sending the adoption fee of $300 to Jim R tomorrow. Gail has decided to keep his name as well. Hurray for Trip! Debbie Name: Trip Age: Born 2/28/2008 Gender: Male Neuter: yes 5/29/2008 UTD on all immunizations Heartworm status: negative, on preventative Date of intake: 5/2/2008
Trip is a very special puppy in more ways than one. You may have to look closely at the photos to see just one of his special features.Trip was surrendered by his owner at 9 weeks of age. He had nerve damage to his right front leg that could not be repaired and the leg had to be amputated. This gutsy little dog has not been slowed down for a minute. He runs after toys when playing fetch, aggravates the other dogs with his rough puppy play and just truly enjoys life.He loves lying in the grass and watching for flying insects he can jump at and chase. He especially likes playing and chewing on ice cubes. He quickly learned where they come from and is right there for his share when you fill a glass. Watching him go after an ice cube on a tile floor is the best entertainment. He is in that chewing phase and is slowly learning that ankles, fingers and toes are not appropriate chew toys. He entertains himself with his toys but keeps a close eye on where you are and bounds after you if you leave the room. This special little dog needs a forever home. Don't look at him as handicapped because rest assured that is not how he sees himself. If you think you might be the right person for Trip, fill out an application and mention his name. |
