Wes, now Cowboy, was adopted and is living in New Orleans with a lady law professor. She describes Wes as " just perfect".

Update Feb 11, 2012

Hi Alicia -

I adopted Cowboy (GSGRR name was Wesley) in Fall 2010 - he's doing great.  He spent last summer with me in Los Angeles, and he loved the beach and cool breezes!  We're back in New Orleans now - picture attached is from a hike near Lake Ponchartrain.  Thanks for helping organize the adoption program, so glad it led me to Cowboy!

Heart Worm Status: Wes was successfully treated for heart worms on 8 June 2010. He was cleared by the vet for full activity on 27 July 2010.

Wes is a smaller blond male who weighs about 55 pounds. He is house broken, crate trained and enjoys riding in a vehicle. Wes is an excellent companion animal. He is content alone or loves your attention and likes to have his chest scratched and his belly rubbed. He has free run of our house and sleeps on the bed room floor at night. His first activity every morning is to place his head in my lap for a good morning pet. He has been a very good house guest. He gets along fine with my two retrievers and likes every person he meets. Wes walks well on a leash, but needs a fenced yard when off leash. If given the chance he will run away and not come when called. You must have him on a leash before he is taken out of a vehicle or near an open door. Wes will chase birds, squirrels, rabbits and cats. The best words to describe Wes, when he is in my house,  are sweet and laid back.

If you think Wes would be a good match for you please complete our online application and mention his name.
