This precious baby came to us by way of a breeder. She had severe urological defects. We took this sweet angel in and she underwent miraculous surgery that saved her life. She still must take some prescriptions for the rest of her life but she is an absolute loving treasure. Diane Johns fostered her at first. I got her when Diane was going on vacation. I ended up keeping her till she found her forever home. This is one angel that really took all my strength to not be a foster failure. She got adopted by a wonderful family from Hammond. They have three young children. They also have a dachshund and an older Golden-"Oliver" that is a therapy dog. Addy is nearing getting her certification for therapy. She is a true angel that touch so many of our lives. Bless you Addy and your forever family.

Hi! I'm Annie. I'm about three years old and over the past two weeks, I have been relinquished at the shelter, pulled by Gulf South Golden Retriever Rescue, bathed, brought to the vet for the gambit of tests, picked up and brought to my foster mommy's house where I have met another dog, cat and a 5 year old little boy (whom I adore), and I even went through a "fire drill" when my foster mommy was cooking. All of this and I am still the coolest, calmest, sweetest dog ever. Nothing phases me.

Baxter is a HW- (yeah!). He is an 8 years young red head that was brought to the SPCA by his family who could no longer care for him. He was brought with his 11-year-old lab brother who was terminally ill, and seems to enjoy having a friend around. Some of his favorite things so far are shadowing my son, chasing the tennis ball, long walks, and getting brushed. He is a gem and with such personality still has many great years ahead to make someone very happy!

Bishop Bear was adopted in December of 2013 and is living in FL.
Bishop Bear had a microchip and his family was located, only to reply "We already got a new dog, we don't want that dog anymore- he has heartworms anyways". That's when Gulf-South Golden Retriever Rescue stepped into Bears world.
His foster mom came immediately to pick him up from the shelter that he was being held at. He rode happily in the front seat enjoying the wind in his hair. His foster family immediately fell in love with him and his kind, forgiving, happy, and resilient soul. He was showered with love, and his foster mom gently began to cut his knotted/matted fur, and brush him until his coat began to shine.

The father passed away and the mother experienced some health issues of her own. It tore the mother and son apart, to relinquish Carley but they had to move in with the mother's elderly parents. Her parents had an older golden but Carly was just too young and had boundless energy. With the utmost love for Carley, they surrended her to us for the active fun life she deserved. Graham went to live in Huntington, MA on 1/20/2013 with GSGRR alumni Tramp.
Meet handsome Graham, an all-around great guy and wonderful companion. In fact, if Goldilocks were to meet Graham, she would declare him “just right.” Graham really likes human company and wants to be close by for some quiet petting. He likes to sneak a little lick to your hand just to let you know he’s there, but he won’t insist on constant attention. He is neither destructive nor high maintenance, but with the company of my two young dogs to keep him busy all day, Graham is never bored enough for these things to come up. In fact, he loves to play with other dogs.

Storm is a precious little golden mix. I met him at Pet Fest and was convinced to take the precious one home and foster him. He is a wonderful boy that looked golden with a white chest. He was much smaller however, so his size made him all the more appealling because you had the continual puppy look. I only had him for a week or so as there was much interest in him.
