IN MEMORY OF DARLENE DIROSA

Gulf South Golden Retriever Rescue is often faced with the responsibility of rehabilitating dogs who come into rescue in poor health from situations that include abuse and neglect. The cost of surgery and treatment necessary to heal these dogs inevitably surpasses available funds.

So, GSGRR created this special fund devoted to provide rescued goldens with the extensive medical care and/or longterm fostering they need to become healthy and adoptable.

The fund is named in memory of Darlene DiRosa, who provided a loving foster home to more than 25 rescued golden retrievers.

Darlene exhibited an unwavering idealism that every dog in rescue receive immediate care, a warm welcome into a foster home and a loving forever home of its own.

Even while experiencing her own personal setbacks and failing health, Darlene remained steadfastly kind to fellow rescuers and faithful to goldens in need.

She bravely took on the challenges of caring for dogs with medical and behavioral issues without complaint and found time to promote increased awareness of GSGRR.

Every donation to Darlene’s Fund celebrates the spirit of a much loved and dearly missed member of our rescue.

Donations to Darlene’s Fund may be made by sending a check made payable to Gulf South Golden Retriever Rescue/Darlene’s Fund to:
